Train Type: Luxury
The Tour
The Royal Canadian Pacific luxury train explores western Canada’s Rocky Mountains against the ever-changing backdrop of snow-capped peaks. This luxury rail service features impeccable on-board food and service as well as carefully crafted tours to special places such as the dazzling Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.
New! Royal Canadian Pacific will take a different route Sept. 1-7, 2010, this time from Calgary-Vancouver for a special tour. Note there are only four double-bedded cabins and one twin-bedded cabin left. For details, click here.
“...The RCP is a literally unique train, offering to the public the chance to travel like nabobs, in spaces once occupied by such luminaries as Winston Churchill, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor...On the last night of the trip, when our band of travelers from the Society of IRT assembled for a farewell dinner...we all recounted our favorite aspects of the RCP. The lists were surprisingly various, testimony to what an expansive smorgasbord of experiences we’d enjoyed. Really, I guess, we just liked it all…‘The best trip yet,’ said one of our group, and that about summed it up.” — Karl Zimmermann, The International Railway Traveler®
